Software as a service is an exciting new technology, but with new technology, there are trouble spots. I think the most notable is the ownership of data. If you buy into SaaS, make sure you have access to your records long after you stop using the service (if and when you do this). Also know, that the web can be unstable at times and even the largest, most reputable provider can experience website down time that would affect your business.
When you are in the market for construction accounting software, construction estimating software or construction management software, thoroughly research the product and the provider to ensure you are making a safe, long-term investment.
